My Trance Story

Where did you discover trance?

It all started in a small club near my hometown called "Rider's Cafe" more than ten years ago. I felt in love with trance there. So I wanted to get more into it – trance was really huge in Germany at that time. I started to go out a lot and became a DJ.

Who has been your biggest influence?

My biggest influence was DJ Taucher back in the days. I liked his sound a lot and it was quite different to the sound, which was usually played at my local clubs. So I started to buy the Technoclub CD series and got more into that sound.

What moment would you live again if you could?

I had a few big moments within the last 18 months. The first one was in summer 2006, when Tiesto picked "Told You So" for his "In Search Of Sunrise" mix album. It was the first production I ever did – awesome! Then I was really surprised this summer, when all three singles, which I released went to #1 in a leading download store's trance charts – within only a few weeks! A short while later I was asked to produce an official remix for Tiesto – and since I delivered it, Tiesto plays it in all of his sets – just a short while ago, I have been a usual raver, who went to see Tiesto, now he plays a remix, which I did for him – cannot describe that feeling. And I had the last huge moment just a week ago: My manager called me and told me that I am booked for Trance Energy 2008! That all still does not seem real to me – it's a big dream! It all went so fast... :)

Where in the world is trance-central?

That's easy: The address is Winterhuder Weg 76 in Hamburg. That's the office of my management agency called Supraton. They also run the label Supra Recordings and they do the Trance Nation events since a long time. I started to work with these guys about two years ago, they opened all doors for me. For me that is the place where the big trance business has its home! ;-)
