Where did you discover trance?

Well I was a rave kid in the early 90's partying the whole weekend. Since I come from the Frankfurt/Cologne area in Germany, my roots were the old EyeQ and Hardhouse releases. Only one hour drive from my hometown, there was this club where DJ Taucher had his residency... he was playing only trance in these days, so it was all around me. This was when I fell in love with it.

Who has been your biggest influence?

That's hard to say. There are so many good artists that influenced me when I was starting out .To name a few, the Prodigy were one of my favourites, also Jam & Spoon and Underworld. They were the first to make that style of music popular. Acts like them having a gig at the MTV music awards for example, made me very proud.

What moment would you live again if you could?

My first trips to Japan and Australia. That was unreal because we never expected so many people to know us and our music. The crowd reactions were overwhelming. That will always be in my memories!

Where in the world is trance-central?

It used to be Germany, but that's a long time ago. Now it's the Netherlands for sure. They have the most popular djs, the biggest events and the strongest dance network in the world.
